Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Pediatric Outpatient Corning, NY

Job Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive speech-language evaluations and assessments for pediatric patients, with occasional adult patient support in an outpatient clinic setting
  • Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans addressing communication disorders, articulation, language development, fluency, and swallowing function
  • Provide direct therapy services focusing primarily on pediatric speech therapy, language delays, feeding disorders, and developmental communication challenges
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams including physicians, occupational therapists, physical therapists, nurses, and specialists to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care
  • Educate and counsel patients, families, and caregivers on therapy goals, progress, home exercise programs, and communication strategies
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation including evaluations, progress notes, discharge summaries, and treatment outcomes in compliance with regulatory standards
  • Participate in departmental quality improvement initiatives, case conferences, in-service education programs, and continuing professional development activities
  • Contribute to the development and expansion of innovative pediatric speech therapy programs and rehabilitative services
Job Requirements
  • Master's degree or clinical doctorate from an accredited Speech-Language Pathology program (CAA-accredited)
  • Current or eligible for New York State Speech-Language Pathologist licensure and registration
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA, or actively pursuing certification
  • One to two years of pediatric speech therapy experience or hospital-based clinical experience preferred
  • New graduate Speech-Language Pathologists with strong pediatric practicum and clinical fellowship experience are strongly encouraged to apply
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to work effectively within interdisciplinary teams
